Advertising generates consumption of a product through branding, which involves the repetition of an image or a product name in order to make the memorization easier for consumers.

Most of the advertising budget gets spent on the media which requires very specific skills. Expert media planners and buyers got the best out of the advertising by finding the best place for an ad campaign at the lowest cost. 
Nowadays, there are a wide variety of media available for advertising such as broadcast media (television and radio), billboards and of course the Internet.
Advertising agencies provide services that have to deal with every aspects of an advertising campaign. Depending on the size of the agency, the number of clients is changing. Some have 2 or 3 principle clients whereas others have hundreds of them. Usually, an advertising agency must manage accounts, provide creative services and take care of the media access for clients.


In general, they are three principles characters in a advertising agency: 
  1. The creative director who is in charge of supervising the work 
  2. The art/graphic designer 
  3. The copywriter
The creative director is the first person to whom the creation team must present their project. He must criticize, improve and encourage. When the creation or the project is approved, he must present it to the client. He gets the glory when a campaign is a success and is blamed when it is a failure. 
The art/graphic designer is responsible for the creativity and the design of prints ads or Television ads.
And the copywriter provides the text for print ads and the scripts for television or radio advertising. 


There is an other important aspect in any advertising agency, it’s the research department which basically gives some details about the audience that they want to target, as well as information about the market and the competitors of the product.


As a conclusion, in any advertising agency those charcters must collaborate with each other in order to be successful in the field.
